Piprahwa relics of Buddha arrive in Leh, people gather in huge numbers to pay respect
Why in news: The sacred Piprahwa relics of Buddha arrived in Leh, Ladakh, for a public exposition following their repatriation from a private British collection.
The relics were discovered at Piprahwa, Uttar Pradesh, and were flown from New Delhi to Leh on April 29, 2026. They will be displayed at Jivetsal in Leh from May 1 to May 10 before moving to Zanskar.
