Buildings under 24 metres no longer need Fire NOC in Telangana
Why in news: The Telangana Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence Department revised fire safety requirements, exempting residential buildings under 24 metres from needing a Fire NOC.
Director General Vikram Singh Mann announced the revision on October 7, 2026. Buildings exceeding 24 metres are still required to have fire towers and Fire Control Centre (FCC) rooms. New ventilation rules were also introduced for basement Diesel Generator (DG) rooms.
